NC10 Battery Longevity - AKA How Long Can You still Last ?

    So.............

It's now 3 years and 4 months since I bought my NC10 (25/02/2009) and my battery is still giving something like 6 hours when playing movies on aeroplane flights.

My battery strategy, with this and previous laptops, is to only use the battery when no source of power is available, otherwise it is continually plugged in and on charge. I would say that I have only ever fully flattened it perhaps 4 or 5 times.

    How's yours doing ?

I would guess, and it is just a guess, mine now lasts about 2 hours or so (bought Sept 2008 - one of the 1st!). We definitely notice it needs charging more often.

I've taken no steps to pro long battery life, I plug it in to charge as and when we remember to do so, often runs out of juice completely. Guess taking some care makes a difference then!

Good to see these ol' NC10s going strong, ours gets daily use still and prob gets more use than our desktop. Although am now getting tablet so will see if that displaces Sammy. tbh I think we'll end up using both, I'm only getting a cheapy budget tablet as I'm not convinced it's something I really "need", just "want"!
