Microsoft .net framework issues and disappearing windows.

Have been having problems with applications having to close unexpectedly and windows on screen disappearing gradually or being unable to load them due to message 'not enough system resources'. I thought this was something to do with the .net framework. I have windows xp service pack 3 and all the .net versions are there. I have ttb broadband monitor which always gives me the message about needing to close on start-up. Had the same problem with bdm download monitor as well.
I feel I should do a Samsung recovery option to get it all sorted out but am a little reluctant in case it doesn't work.

    'not enough system resources'.
is usually a PAGE FILE ISSUE... Control Panel > System > Advanced > Virtual Memory (Paging File?)

there should be a button in there where you can set the Virtual memory/paging file size... (Change?) I'm using Win 7 and trying to remember Win XP Settings

If it has been left to 'System managed' - Windows will take as much Hard drive as it can get. -
leaving NO ROOM on the C: Drive for Windows to work correctly- hence the warnings.

Try setting BOTH Low and High Levels to (say) 3072 (that's 3 Gb) and see how you get on... (it also helps keep the Drive from being badly defragmented having a fixed sized Paging file)

Alternately your C: Drive could be 'nearly full'... in which case...

It might help to change the paging file to a different Partition - especially if you are running low on disk space on C:
Windows does all it's work IN the C drive...

Thanks for advice, sammyone. I did as you suggested even tho' I have almost 40gb of space in drive c. After my posting I went to another forum where my problems were appearing in posts. The suggestion was that there was a problem with an update of Avast antivirus which may have let a virus through. I uninstalled my version and ran some virus clean-up programs - no virus detected. I reinstalled Avast and all seems to be ok so far. However, I still can't get bdm (broadband download monitor) to work. The error message is 'system.io.filenotfoundexception'. Any ideas?

Several Google results suggest MS Silverlight may be to blame...

However, I also found this (possible) solution relating to NET Framework...

I hope that solves your problem..
