    Any car guys/gals on here?

Aside from tech stuff keeping my attention, I am an avid car and motorsports enthusiast.

For you UK guys, I love CAR and TopGear (both magazine and TV show)

I have a Subaru legacy GT which is a great car. Very fast, AWD and looks pretty nice as well.

How about the rest of you?

I love Top Gear although Jeremy hates motorbikes. I would love an Evo 8 but alas money does not allow. I drive a sedate car and an isane motorcycle.
Having just watched the episode where Jeremy drives a £50000 boat to the docklands airport I wish i had spent £50000 less on a house and bought the boat.
I guess it all comes down to priorities.

I have owned and driven some of the best and most expensive cars in the world.

    I currently own a Bugatti.

Yeh, Test Drive Unlimited hands it to you on a plate.

I have owned and driven some of the cheapest and worst cars in the world. My old dodge avenger stills holds a place in my heart, I remember very well having to crawl in through the trunk since the doors didn't work... Ah, the memories.

For the past five years I've had a 350Z. She has been my baby, done a good bit of work on her. Occasional track days make it all worth it though.

Oh, and Top Gear is awesome, but really hard for me to get here in the US. BBC America plays reruns from 3 years ago over and over.

Brought up with cars thanks to my dad and then worked in a classic car garage in london for a while so got to drive a lot of exotic vehicles there (and even better none of them were mine and I didnt pay a penny on fuel lol).
Have made a book on a 1955 Ferrari 750 Monza which was a real priviledge to drive, and am currently making another book on a Hispano Suiza H6C (the 8litre stright 6 one). Am blessed to be able to work with such cars really, and get to drive them which is even better!
Next project after the Hispano should be on 3 (yes three) original right hand drive AC cobras all owned by the same collector :-) That'll be my dream to make a book on them as in my opinion you don't really need anything faster or more powerful than an AC Cobra (except perhaps one with a roof)!
My car though is a particularly good example of a BMW 5 series e39 shape, but really it's nothing "special" it's just great for cheap, reliable and very very comfortable motoring and long journey's with all the toys installed. Oh and I'm 25 :-D

My son (11) and I are petrol heads, avid observers of the super car club rather than active participants though!

We had an amazing couple of days at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this summer, if you are into cars in any way it is the number one place to go. It covers all aspects of motor sports, old and new, two and four wheels, open top and road going super cars. It is also a damm site cheaper and much better close up experience than the British GP.

I managed to rack up 1300 pics in the two days, and my lad got to get his Lewis Hamiton cap signed by Lewis Hamilton, Jensen Button and Sebastian Bourdais!

I am jealous about Goodwood! Would have loved to go there.

I am a huge fan of sports car racing (e.g. Le mans prototypes) and F1. Unfortunately while F1 can be seen with some regularity Sports Car cannot. The Speed channel in the US has turned into NASCAR central much to my chagrin.

bgalfond, I may have a solution for your TopGear fix in the US but it would need to be shared via PM

Kevin, Nice RX7! The newer rotary engines don't do that one justice. The turbos made really good power stock and the design still looks fresh today

Johnbad, are you a photographer? Sounds like you have been in and driven some great cars!

Carroll Shelby seems to be signing everything lately from Cobra reissues to new mustangs. He is an icon for sure, but its getting a bit ridiculous and seems to be done just for the cash
