Samsung NC20 Intel 5300 WIFI upgrade and inside case shots

Many people have upgraded the intel wifi in both the NC10 following my original guide and the NC20. I have now completed the upgrade myself in the NC20 and thought id share some piccies for those who have yet to venture.

The process is exactly the same as the previous guide bar one thing. Remember to remove the sd card or blanking plate first. that had me confused for a second as the case would not open doh.

Hi great photos makes me think I could do this to my NC20 too. What difference does the Intel card make?

TheRing (and those who did this mod.),

If I just replace the Atheros card with Intel5300 and just reuse the existing 2 antennas and attach them to the Intel5300 (but leave 3rd one unconnected), would I see any improvement (i.e. stronger connectivity, longer range, higher throughput, etc.)? I just don't feel like opening up the screen and route the antennas thru it, just afraid of messing up the screen/LCD.
