Hey guys,
Just wondered of amy of you had tried installing Moblin V2?
I'm currently downloading it, from the videos I've seen it looks promising. Will only work for me if I can get Firefox installed.

I thought I'd posted about Moblin but I can't find any posts on it hmm...
Anyway I ran Moblin V2 on my NC10 off a memory stick (I didn't bother installing it), and it ran well for me. I think it came with Firefox or a derivative.
I can't comment on whether it works with the Atheros WiFi card though, as I was using an Intel 5300 at the time.
EDIT: Out of interest why do you need Firefox in particular, bearing in mind the different GUI that Moblin uses?

I've noticed a few tweets from NC10 owners giving it a go, if you are on Twitter, try sending them a msg.

Just booted it on my N110 via a USB stick. It certainly boots fast and looks pretty, but even as a 10+ year Linux veteran I can't get the hang of it!
I'm behind a corporate firewall and I have no idea how to configure a proxy in that weird browser it comes with!
WiFi networks are detected and the wired network came up. But no brightness controls and most of the FN buttons don't seem to work.
UPDATE ...
Now online - found the Network Proxy applet under Applications. But don't like how they've hidden the control bar in Firefox.

Moblin Linux boosters go global
Tried it just to take a look but didn't like it much. A lot of stuff wasn't working. Mint is just as nice and a lot more functional (but then it isn't experimental either :-)
I've gone for Mint 7 as the distro of choice as well.
Yeah, after my initial praise of Moblin V2 I quickly started to dislike it and as soon as I tried Mint I dropped Moblin.
I'm now running Mint on all my PC's with Vista taking a back seat, I only need that for Photoshop and a few other apps.

I've dropped Moblin and installed Linux Mint 7 too! I also read somewhere that the boot time is now 20 secs , though Mint takes a lot longer to boot. I think Mint is simply better supported - wifi worked out of the box.
While I am also using Mint 7 on my netbook (waited for it as Mint 6 had trashy support for alot of stuff in the NC10). I think once Moblin is fully functional it will be my netbook OS of choice. I used Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix until Mint 7 came out and it was surprisingly nice to have that simple UI.
